Crossroads Spotlight
Mission Statement
We, at Crossroads, feel that it is our mission to empower our students to break the cycles of teen pregnancy, poverty, violence, and abuse that affect their lives.
We are a necessary small high school that serves pregnant and parenting teens and their children. We provide an alternative academic program aimed at high school graduation and beyond.
On-campus childcare, up to the age of 3, is available so students are able to attend core and elective academic classes while their children are enriched in a developmentally appropriate and child-centered program designed to stimulate their emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
We have an experienced and caring staff, small classes that allow for individualized attention and peer support, a strong academic program based on district and state standards, instructional assistants, family atmosphere, parenting classes, school to school or school to career development, leadership program, and counselors.
Parents, teachers, staff and students here show mutal repect and caring by treating all individuals with dignity. We want every student to become self-reliant by developing academic, interpersonal and technological skills. We are creating lifelong learners, independent thinkers, caring parents and responsible adults. Our goal is for all of our students to graduate and become contributing members of society while raising their children in a nurturing environment so that they too can grow to become positive forces in the world.
